THE PEOPLE Vs. king saul SOLD OUTThe seventh annual mock trial.The seventh annual mock trial summons you to be the jury in the case of The People vs. King Saul. In a day of extraordinary courtroom drama, King Saul will be tried for the attempted murder of David. The day begins with the study of Biblical text with Rabbi Ed Feinstein. The trial, which follows, will pit outstanding prosecutor, Laurie Levenson, against formidable defense attorney, Erwin Chemerinsky, and then you will render your verdicts. As the culmination of our Celebration of Books, pre-eminent UC Berkeley scholar, Professor Robert Alter will wrap up our program with a brief presentation entitled: The Transparent King (Saul) and the Opaque Rival (David).
