The Rabbi's Big Lecture
From BnaiDavid.com, Rav Yosef Kanefsky writes his congregants:
This Shabbat afternoon I'll be sharing my annual Shabbat Hagadol Drasha at 5:30. This is one the two times during the year when we are able to take an idea, develop it fully, and explore its ramifications for the way we live. It is also our opportunity to discover a (hopefully) new religious perspective with which to enter Pesach. This year's Drasha is entitled:
Ba'avoor Zeh: Because of This
Why is this People Different?
Of course the Shabbat Hagadol drasha isn't for everyone. It's only for folks between the ages of 14 and 25 , 26 and 40, and 41 through 97. Attendance will also be limited only to people who do not have children and to those who do. (Childcare provided for those who do.) So if you meet the criteria, I'll see you on Shabbat!

Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky (Bnai David) and Rabbi Elazar Muskin (YICC) love each other and their shuls do a lot of things together.
Bnai David's president David Diamond emails his congregation: As I mentioned from the bima this past Shabbat, we are looking forward to building on the already strong relationship and sense of community between our shul and Young Israel of Century City as Rabbi Kanefsky and Rabbi Muskin exchange pulpits this coming Shabbat morning. I invite you all, once again, to join me in greeting Rabbi Muskin and welcoming him warmly upon his arrival at B'nai David. Davening begins, as usual, at 8:45.

Modern Orthodox Rabbis In Los Angeles Seek To Certify Business Ethics
My first thoughts when I heard about this plan.
I hope the execution of this plan is more effective than some of the spelling in this new letter: "PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL INFORMATION SHARED WITH THE PEULAT SACHIROR ANY OF ITS REPRSENTATIVES WILL BE HELD IN THE STRCTEST OF CONFIDENCE. THE CERTIFRICATION AGREEMENT WILL RFLECT THIS IN WRITING."

Free Spirits Join The Stuffed Shirts For Hoshana Rabbah
The Happy Minyan will take its joy to Bnai David Monday morning at 9 for a rocking Hoshana Rabbah prayer service replete with musical instruments.
"Why does the Happy Minyan have to dilute its simcha with those stuffed shirts at Bnai David," groused one bloke.
