Report: Frummy Traffic Alert: Avoid the Bais Yeduda alley (Oakwood and La Brea) Satmer alter kocker (most likely 100 years old) blocking entire alley with his white mini van. Approximately 6 or 7 vehicles attempting to enter blocking spilling on to Oakwood. — at Congregation Bais Yehuda Inc.

Report: I saw worse last night. A jew with a beard and yarmalkah double parked in front of Munchies, blocking traffic on Pico back for 25 miles.

Southbound La Cienega Blvd Shut Down By Coffee Bean Headquarters

A block south of 18th Street on the southbound La Cienega Blvd, traffic has been shut down.

As I drove north on La Cienega at 12:45, I saw a police car, an ambulance, and a fire truck outside the Coffee Bean headquarters along with small crowds of people looking distraught.

Truck Crashes Into Pico-Robertson Starbucks

I've spent many hours at this Starbucks, sipping iced tea and reading books and looking outside at the traffic and wondering when a car was going to come barreling through. There's so much traffic outside, so many drivers are reckless, driving and talking and texting on cell phones, it seemed inevitable there would be trouble.

The LAT reports:

Coffee-drinkers in line for lattes at one Los Angeles Starbucks got quite a jolt Wednesday morning when a truck crashed through the front window.

Nobody was hurt in the accident, which happened just after 7 a.m. at the corner of Pico and Robertson boulevards. But customers were shaken.

Starbucks shift manager Daniel Erde was in a back room when he heard an ear-splitting screech and then a burst of shattering glass.

“I came out and there was a truck in the lobby,” Erde said. “People were screaming and on the ground, and the truck was smoking and I could smell gas.”
